Beloved of God, I joyfully welcome you into 2026, a year ordained by God not just for change, but for deep spiritual transformation. This is not merely the turning of a calendar page; this is the unfolding of a divine season. As we step into this year, we are stepping into newness by the Holy Spirit.

According to the direction of the Holy Spirit through Nigerian Baptist Convention leadership, we are called to enter into newness through the fruit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. But hear this clearly: the ultimate destination of this divine theme is spiritual transformation. God is not only interested in what you do this year — He is deeply interested in who you become.

May the Holy Spirit renew your inner man. May He realign your thoughts, refine your character, and reshape your desires. Where there has been spiritual dryness, I declare fresh oil. Where there has been inconsistency, I release divine stability. Where there has been weakness, receive strength by the Spirit of the living God.

In 2026, you will not struggle to bear fruit — the fruit of the Spirit will flow naturally from your life: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. I declare that your Christian walk will move from effort to evidence.

People will see Christ not only in your words, but in your conduct.

I also decree that the gifts of the Holy Spirit will find fresh expression in your life — not for pride, not for display, but for service, edification, and kingdom impact. God will use you as an instrument of blessing in your home, your church, your workplace, and your community.

Welcome to a year where prayer becomes deeper, obedience becomes sweeter, and fellowship with God becomes stronger. Welcome to a year where your life becomes a testimony of the Spirit’s transforming power.

I declare: old patterns are broken, spiritual dryness is over, and a fresh work of the Holy Spirit begins now.

Welcome to newness. Welcome to fruitfulness. You will not remain the same.

From today:
Your mind is renewed.
Your heart is aligned.
Your life is transformed in the mighty name of Jesus.
